Once you've made an account, you keep all the gold you earn. Spend it on unlocking and upgrading heroes that give you bonus points for making special words.
Some game boards will have special tiles that unlock chests or keys to open them. These chests contain gold, items, and other goodies.

Your heroes give you their bonuses in the game, but you can also send them out on quests. They'll come back with gold and treasure. They'll also earn experience and level up, making their bonuses even more powerful.
Quest hubDiscover magical treasures.
Magic items will boost your heroes' stats, making them more powerful and giving them a better chance to complete more difficult quests. You can find them in chests, or get them as quest rewards.
The rarest items even have their own word and letter bonuses!
